The difference between this method and the other copper-based methods is that the copper is used as a metal rather than a dissolved material. The characteristics of the wood are highly improved and the when this process is used to treat wood. The timber treated in this way is used in both outdoor and indoor frames that last very long.
The micronized copper preservative has proven to be highly effective in protecting the wood against fungal decay and termites. It has also shown to be an improvement in corrosion resistant properties to metal fasteners. The wood treated using this method last longer and is stronger.
