Announcement of IC-RENST 2024: Nanotechnology Research for Tobacco Industry Safety
March 15 (UTC/GMT+08:00)
In March 2024, the International Web Conference on Developing Requirements for Nanoscale Science and Technology (IC-RENST 2024) will feature a special guest speaker. Uzi Breuer is CEO of Dotz Nano ( ASX:DTZ ) . Uzi Breuer, CEO of Dotz Nano ( ASX:DTZ ), will speak about "New Technological Solutions for Tobacco Product Counterfeit Protection Based on Nanocarbon. Fluorescent safety markers and safety indicators based on nano-sized particles."
Successful trials have been conducted in China with a company called China Tobacco Company and in Russia with Russian Tobacco Factory Ltd. The tobacco giant in Russia praised the successful tests. The technology company Dotz Nano presented another proof of its ultimate nanotechnological superiority. Having conducted successful pilot tests in China and Russia.
"We invested a lot of time and money in research and finally realized that fluorescent markers are an area we want to focus on," Breuer says.
Dotz develops and manufactures carbon-based markers and safety indicators. Dotz markers are added at levels down to parts per billion, do not affect product properties and have no clear chemical signature. Which makes them virtually impossible to detect.
ValiDotz are small nano-sized particles with unique behavioral characteristics, such as fluorescence when exposed to ultraviolet light. Also known as quantum dots, ValiDotz are based on inorganic substances such as carbon, which are responsible for their fluorescent properties.
The test effectively showed that Dotz Nano technology could potentially be used to prevent counterfeiting of leading brands in China and Russia. And counterfeit tobacco was one of the first candidates to benefit from this technology.
Counterfeit products cause $22 trillion in damage to society. DTZ can help with nano-sized particles to solve the problem of illicit tobacco.
Announcement of resuming IC-RENST 2024
March 15 - 17 (UTC/GMT+08:00)
As one of the first international conferences adopting the innovative approach of webinar, the International Conference on Requirements Engineering Nanoscale Science and Technology (IC-RENST) has combined on-site colloquiums in the US, Austria, and China, with real-time online participation of researchers all around the globe since 2007. The IC-RENST has always brought together the world’s leading scientists working with nanoscale, and provided a unique platform for open communication.
Today, the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) outbreak is causing serious restrictions on global travel and also considerable anxiety. Most conventional face-to-face meetings or events, therefore, have to be canceled or postponed. To proactively brace for the impact of COVID-19, and to facilitate the communication and serve on the community of nanoscale research, we are now resuming IC-RENST. Introducing state-of-the-art video conferencing technology, we aim to provide a premier forum on the latest advances in the interdisciplinary research at the nanoscale, and allow participants to share insight beyond the boundary of physical distances while involving no risk to everyone’s health, safety, and well-being.
The scope of IC-RENST 2024 includes, but is not limited to, the following areas of nanoscale science and technology: plasmonic photonics, quantum dots, nanophotonics and optoelectronics, nanostructured materials and devices.
